Description

Professional moisture meter humimeter GF2

Thanks to a large number of sensors, the GF2 moisture meter enables many measurements: residual moisture and readiness for covering of concrete, moisture of building materials such as drywall, wood, concrete and bricks, as well as humidity and temperature.

Areas of application of the versatile moisture meter for buildings, walls and floors:

Since the humimeter GF2 is intended for professionals, the device covers many areas of application and is also the perfect alternative to the time-consuming CM measurement. Even large screed areas can be examined in just a few minutes.

  • Determine the readiness for covering (degree of drying) of the screed (e.g. for parquet flooring)
  • Inspection of damp spots, e.g. in masonry, insulation, wood, drywall and concrete
  • Measurement of surface temperature (infrared)
  • Measurement of humidity and temperature
  • Measure wood moisture

Simply measure the readiness for covering and the moisture content of the screed:

The humimeter GF2 is an excellent moisture meter for screeds. It enables a quick and accurate check of the readiness for covering of screed and other building materials. With the capacitive moisture sensor built into the measuring device, a representative point for carrying out a CRH or CM measurement can be found in a very short time by means of a grid measurement.

The measuring device also uses the CRH method (corresponding relative humidity) to measure the dryness of the screed. In addition, the device is suitable for determining moisture in drywall and other building materials. A capacitive moisture sensor is integrated on the underside for non-destructive measurement of concrete, screed, plasterboard, aerated concrete, concrete bricks, clinker bricks and insulating materials.

The capacitive sensor is ideally suited for monitoring drying processes in new buildings or renovation work, as well as for detecting damp spots such as leaks or wall and floor moisture.

GF2 offers a real alternative to CM measurement (calcium carbide method)

CM measurement is widely used in the construction industry but is time-consuming, costly and limited to small sample areas. It can also be inaccurate due to different screed compositions.

The humimeter GF2 was developed to overcome these issues. It enables fast, non-destructive measurements over large areas. Entire buildings can be measured room by room within minutes. If required, it can also be combined with CM measurement to identify representative measurement points quickly.

The measuring device is adjusted after calibration to the reference method EN ISO 12570.

The humimeter GF2 supports extensive measurement statistics including building moisture, air humidity, room climate, dew point, equilibrium moisture, air and surface temperature, as well as long-term climate data recording. External sensors and software are required for full functionality.

Expandable with numerous sensors for humidity and temperature measurement:

  • Humidity and temperature sensors
  • Precision humidity and temperature probe
  • IR temperature sensor for surface temperature measurement
  • Hand electrode for gypsum, plaster, insulation and wood moisture measurement
  • Plug-in electrodes for hard building materials
  • Ram electrode for depth measurements up to 60 mm
  • Flat electrodes for measuring moisture under screed

FAQ:

What are the advantages of the KRL method?
The KRL method allows precise and continuous measurement of residual moisture in screed by evaluating equilibrium moisture between air and screed, saving time and cost.

How does capacitive humidity measurement work?
It measures electrical capacitance between electrodes. Moisture increases capacitance due to a higher dielectric constant.

What is the advantage compared to CM measurement?
It is non-destructive, faster, safer for underfloor heating and does not require chemicals.

How quickly can I get results?
CM measurement takes about 20 minutes, while capacitive measurement provides instant results. The KRL method requires approximately 5 minutes.
